The view from Mount Wilson is spectacular! The final hours approaching the conclusion of the LCROSS Mission are very exciting I am anxiously awaiting the impact of the anticipated impact of the Moon. The telescopes available at Mount Wilson are among the finest in the Pacific and will provide a great optical view of the plume. At 4:31 A.M. tomorrow morning fellow GAVRT Intern, Ariel Bluy, and I will watch the plume from a 16 in. telescope and be involved in taking images of the impact. We may also view some of the events from an adjacent 60 in, telescope nearby. This night will be extremely significant to NASA and prove to be fun and exciting in the process.
